FEATURED STORIES

The actress insists she has not given her daughters any fashion advice. She says: “I want them to explore their creativity and not have limits. They are kids so they can get away with anything. As long as the hemline is not too short, they are free to wear what they want.”

Lara’s newborn

PRECIOUS Lara, Marco and baby Noah Lamar

Precious Lara and Marco Alcaraz are overjoyed as they welcome the birth of their baby boy, Noah Lamar (short for Lara/Marco) last Nov. 10.

“I was inside the operating room,” beams the proud dad. “When I heard him cry, I cried, too. It gave me a new perception of life. It made me realize how good God truly is. Noah inspires me to work harder and better. Lara breast-feeds our baby.”

Will they allow their firstborn to join the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) or show biz someday?

“Hopefully he will excel in school as a varsity player so he can make it to the big league,” Marco  says. “Show biz is fine, too. Lara and I will support him in whatever makes him happy. I just hope he will not want to be a beauty queen like his mom (laughs).”

Welcome to the crazy but wonderful world of parenthood, Marco and Lara!

‘Magical’ kiss

The scene of Kean Cipriano and Cherie Gil in “Madaling Araw, Mahabang Gabi” stands out in the movie.  They’ve got a certain kind of chemistry.

“At first I felt intimidated because she’s very beautiful and I respect her a lot,” Kean relates. “It’s such an honor to work with one of the most genuine actresses of Philippine cinema. She taught me to be more professional and spontaneous.”

How did he feel during their kissing scene? “It was magical,” he gushes. “If only we could have kissed more than what was required in the scene (laughs).”

What can the audience learn from the film? “That we all have both strengths and weaknesses,” he explains. “We should know when and how to use them properly.”
