Former ‘PBB’ housemate Josh Ford recovering after ear, nasal surgeries
Former “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemate Josh Ford said he is now recovering after he recently underwent five surgical procedures related to his nose and ear.
Ford took to his social media pages on Saturday, June 6, to share a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed while attached to medical equipment as he updated fans about his condition.
“Finally nangyari na (it has happened), septoplasty, uncinectomy, polypectomy, left turbinectomy, and left myringoplasty done. Thank You Lord for a successful surgery. Praying for a smooth recovery and better days ahead,” he wrote in the caption.

In the comments section, the actor also thanked supporters who checked on him following the operations.
“Thank you everyone for all the love and support. Sobrang thankful ako sa inyong lahat. Salamat sa mga dasal at pag-check up sa akin (I am so thankful to all of you. Thank you for your prayers and checking up on me). Gagaling din ako (I will get well) soon,” he added.
According to the Mayo Clinic, septoplasty is a surgical procedure that straightens the wall between the nostrils, commonly done to improve breathing caused by a deviated septum or displaced nasal structure.
A polypectomy, meanwhile, is the removal of abnormal tissue growths called polyps, which can form on the inner lining of hollow organs or body cavities but are usually benign.
On the other hand, a turbinectomy involves reducing or removing part of the nasal turbinates to improve airflow, while uncinectomy is a procedure that removes part of a small, sickle-shaped bone in the nasal cavity to help with sinus drainage.
Myringoplasty, meanwhile, is a procedure done to repair a hole or perforated eardrum.
Ford first entered showbiz as a child actor, usually appearing in commercials. In 2015, he portrayed the young version of Clark Medina, a character played by James Reid, in the ABS-CBN television drama series “On the Wings of Love.”
The young actor then took a brief hiatus from showbiz and relocated to the United Kingdom with his family following his father’s death. He returned to the Philippines and joined Sparkle GMA Artist Center in 2023.
He then appeared in GMA television projects such as “Luv Is: Love at First Read,” “Jose & Maria’s Bonggang Villa,” “Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy ang Kuwento,” and “My Guardian Alien.”
In 2025, Ford gained a household name after joining “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.” He now stars in the mystery-adventure series “The Secrets of Hotel 88” alongside his fellow ex-housemates. /edv
