Moen, 62, is an American singer-songwriter and pastor famous for his gospel songs, among them “Give Thanks” and “God Will Make a Way.” This is his second visit to the Philippines. He performed in Bohol and Butuan on Saturday and Sunday.
“The concert was very inspiring and enlightening,” Rocco said, “and a lot of fun.” He said his favorite number was the upbeat “God is Good.”
“Everyone knew the words,” the actor said. “People were singing, dancing and jumping!”
Moen also played the violin but he was at the piano most of the time.
Rocco said he also liked the song “I Offer my Life” which brought him and his mom to tears. “She’s a cancer survivor; that song means a lot to her.”
For Linda, Moen’s music is “God’s way of healing and bringing comfort to the weary. It uplifts and renews spirits and calms the soul.”
Rocco’s whole family are big fans. He and his dad played Moen songs during worship services at Pax Christi Campus Ministry. Rocco played the drums; his father played the guitars or the piano.
