Janice de Belen

Actress Janice de Belen explains why she cannot actively support former partner Aga Muhlach or fellow ABS-CBN contract artist Joey Marquez in their bids for congressional seats next year:

“I’m not allowed to campaign because of my religion. (She is a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo.) Also, I’m not from Bicol—although I have known descendants there—and I don’t vote there so I can’t campaign for Aga (who is running for representative of the fourth district of Camarines Sur).

“Our son Luigi will definitely campaign for him, though. I wish Aga all the best, as well as Manong Joey (who will run for Parañaque City second district representative). We can never tell; they might actually be able to help improve this country.”—Marinel R. Cruz
