Alfred Vargas’ wife Yasmine reveals pulling out child from swim club

Yasmine Vargas, wife of actor-politician Alfred Vargas, said they decided to withdraw their children from the swim club they’re participating in, amid the ongoing bullying allegations involving their kids and those of actor Rob Sy.
Yasmine took to Alfred’s Facebook page on Saturday, May 16, to announce their decision, clarifying that the alleged bullying incident didn’t occur at their children’s school because “the other party involved is not enrolled in the same school as our son.”
“Over the past weeks, our family has gone through a difficult and painful situation involving our children,” she began.
“Because certain discussions and assumptions have already begun circulating publicly, we would like to clarify, to be fair to our son’s school, that the incident being referred to did not happen within the school premises or during any school activity,” she continued.
Noting that the decision was a “difficult” one, Yasmine said she and Alfred chose this to prioritize their son’s emotional well-being and inner peace. The couple nonetheless thanked their kid’s coaches for helping their son improve his swimming skills.
“We sincerely hoped matters could still be handled quietly, peacefully, and in a way that would protect the well-being of all the children involved. However, as parents, there comes a point when you must prioritize your children’s emotional welfare, peace of mind, and overall well-being above all else,” she said.
Moving forward, Yasmine said they are focused on their children’s welfare, while hoping that compassion will prevail.
“We continue to hope that, in time, understanding, accountability, justice, and compassion will prevail for everyone involved. To those who extended kindness, prayers, and support to our family during this difficult period, thank you sincerely. We deeply appreciate it,” she said.
Back in April, Alfred and Yasmine filed a complaint against the parents of a minor who allegedly bullied their son. The parents were ultimately revealed to be actor Rob Sy and his non-showbiz wife Velle Bacosa, with Sy claiming that the couple twisted the narrative in their favor.
This prompted Alfred and Yasmine to file a 20-count cyberlibel complaint against Sy, emphasizing that they refuse to stay silent, especially when it comes to matters involving their children. /edv
