Jo Berry said her role in the upcoming series “The Master Cutter” sheds light on the real-life employment challenges faced by little people, or individuals with dwarfism.

Berry, who plays Ame in the series, shared with select members of the press during the show’s roundtable on Tuesday, May 5, that her character’s storyline revolves around the difficulty of securing decent work as someone with a genetic or medical condition.

“Yung role ko po kasi very different siya sa mga nagawa ko na dati. And it’s the first time kong magiging part ng series na actual may action scenes din ako. Umiikot din po yung story ni Ame sa kung paano nahihirapan yung little people na makakuha ng trabaho na desente para mag-earn ng living,” she said.
