Shuvee Etrata wants Anthony Constantino recognized beyond being her suitor

Shuvee Etrata said she wants Anthony Constantino to be recognized for who he is beyond being linked to her, following his standout performance in a recent celebrity basketball event.

Constantino impressed audiences during the recent “Bida sa Arena” match after making a “Hail Mary” shot and earning the “Player of the Game” title. Etrata was present at the game as his courtside supporter.

In a media roundtable for their series “The Master Cutter” on Tuesday, May 5, the actress expressed pride in Constantino and emphasized that he deserves to be recognized for his potential. 

“It’s about time na makilala ng mga tao kung sino si Anthony. Hindi lang TDH ni Shuvee, hindi lang manliligaw ni Shuvie, kundi kung sino siya,” she said.

“He has so much potential, you know, aside from my manliligaw. He loves sports, he has his own lifestyle, he loves business. Ang daming potential ng taong ‘yun. Kaya excited ako for people to see who he really is,” she added.

Etrata also shared her reaction to Constantino’s game-winning moment, admitting she did not expect his clutch shot.

“Naisip mo ba yung hail mary shot? Hindi talaga… sabi ko, Kendall Jenner lang ako dito… Pero parang naging mommy Dionisia. Hindi ko talaga napigilan ang mga nararamdaman,” she said, laughing at how she became all over the place during the game.

The Kapuso actress added that supporting Constantino was her way of being present for his milestones, just as he has been for hers.

“This is parang achievement for him… Nandoon siya sa lahat ng achievements ko. So, sobrang liit lang, it’s time naman para ako na din po maging present para sa kaniya,” she expressed. 

Etrata and Constantino previously made headlines after the latter confirmed he has been courting the actress even before her stint on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” last year.

The two have since said they are taking things slow and are not rushing into a formal relationship, Etrata noted that to this day the actor is still courting her.  

Constantino is set to mark his series debut in upcoming GMA action-drama series “The Master Cutter,” topbilled by Dingdong Dantes. Etrata is also one of the lead stars.
