“Britain’s Got Talent” season 19 finalist Matty Juniosa confessed that while he hoped to have a poser account when he was in high school, having a fake account using his name “feels weird.”

Juniosa warned the public on Wednesday, April 29, to be wary of a Facebook page impersonating him, noting that he only has one account on the platform.

“Just letting you all know that there’s a page pretending to be me and signing off on posts as if it’s me. Please know that this is my only account, and I do have a page that’s directly connected to my [Instagram],” he said.

Juniosa also expressed concern about the possibility that the Facebook page’s admin is “doing something dodgy,” especially since the alias releases announcements that appear to come from him.

“If you could all help me get the word out in case the admin of that page does anything dodgy!! I appreciate the help in getting my name out there through that page, but it’s just kinda weird that whoever’s on that account is signing off and posting announcements as if they were me,” he said.

The singer still found the incident to be funny, though he admitted that witnessing a Facebook impersonator “feels awkward.”

“I know I was wishing for poser accounts when I was in high school coz that meant I was famous, but didn’t realize it felt quite awkward seeing it happen [in real life],” he said, while attaching the usernames of his official social media accounts.

Juniosa made headlines after being a two-time Golden Buzzer recipient on the 19th season of “Britain’s Got Talent,” the most recent of which automatically sent him straight to the finals.

The “Idol Philippines” alum impressed the judges with his rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain” in his audition, then with Aerosmith’s “Dream on” in the semi-final rounds. As a result, this immediately brings him one step closer to winning the championship. /ra
