‘Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion’ film introduces Vandolph’s son Vito

Vandolph Quizon confirmed that “Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion” is set for release, in which he and his son Vito will appear, marking a family-centered comeback that doubles as a tribute to his late father, Comedy King Dolphy.
The upcoming film brings together members of the original cast of the iconic sitcom, including Claudine Barretto, Gio Alvarez, Smokey Manaloto, Maybeline Dela Cruz, Boy2 Quizon, and Nova Villa. The original series, led by Dolphy, aired from 1992 to 2003.
Directed by Boy2, the reunion film also features Vandolph’s son, Vito Quizon, who is returning to showbiz after his stint on “Goin’ Bulilit”. Vito is Vandolph’s son with wife Jenny Salimao.
Vandolph shared the update during a Viva Artists Agency (VAA) press conference on April 21, where the agency introduced its “Next Gen Stars,” a roster that includes children of celebrities, including Vito.
“Ngayon, kasama si Vito sa Home Along Da Riles, Da Reunion. Showing siya sa mga sinehan sa June 17, 2026, Father ‘s Day. Tribute din yon kay Erpat (Dolphy),” he told the media.
(Now, Vito is part of Home Along Da Riles, Da Reunion. It will be shown in cinemas on June 17, 2026, Father’s Day. It is also a tribute to my father, Dolphy.)

Vandolph said the project took two years to complete after twice backing out of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
“Two years in the making yon kasi twice kaming nag-back out sa Metro Manila Film Festival. Siguro, God’s will din na nangyari yon dahil mas gumanda yung movie at marami kaming surprises na inilagay,” he explained.
(It’s been two years in the making because we withdrew twice from the Metro Manila Film Festival. Maybe it was God’s will because the movie improved, and we were able to add many surprises.)
The actor-comedian also addressed questions about how the film would proceed without Dolphy, saying, “Basta may surprise kami na kami ang unang-unang gagawa sa pelikula. Shocking yan!” (We have a surprise that we will be the first to do it in a film. It’s shocking!)
Vandolph shared that Vito was only two years old when Dolphy died but remembered how close they were.
“Favorite siya ng tatay ko, spoiled siya… Kapag dinadala ko si Vito, iba yung smile ng tatay ko sa kanya. Palagi niyang nilalaro,” he expressed.
(He was my father’s favorite and was spoiled. Whenever I brought Vito to him, my father’s smile was different. He would always play with him.)
Meanwhile, Dolphy’s other son, Eric Quizon, recently revealed plans to develop a biographical film about his late father, focusing on the comedian’s final weeks leading up to his death. /edv
