MediaQuest rebrands into Star Worx with Johnny Manahan at the helm

MQAA Artists Agency — The talent management arm of the Manny V. Pangilinan-led MediaQuest — announced that it would be rebranding into Star Worx under the leadership of seasoned Star Maker Johnny Manahan.
The talent agency shared a glimpse of its new era in timed Facebook posts, including a peek at its new crop of talent.
“Stars don’t just appear, they are built. You WORK, you become a STAR,” one of its posts read.
Another post also quoted Manahan on his definition of a star.
“What makes a star? We think it’s hard work, dedication, and love for the craft. As Mr. M puts it, ‘work makes stars.’ Do you agree?” the post read.
The talent agency’s posts also included the date “05.05.26,” hinting that it will officially launch on May 5.
Manahan mentioned rebranding MQuest Ventures as Star Worx when he signed with MQAA Artists Agency and MQuest Ventures in November 2025.
“We will work together to bring world class, in your face stars… I don’t know what tomorrow brings but I’ll do my best to give you the best because you deserve the best,” he said while hinting at his plans.
The veteran talent manager also explained that a star has a unique quality that captures the attention of a new fan or a casual viewer, and is one of the driving forces behind a successful project.
“What is a star? A star is someone who can capture your attention, drive you crazy, and who can separate you from your well-earned money. That is a star,” he said. “Magbabayad ka para sa star. A star dictates how much you pay — and pay you will. Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards, SB19, BTS, Seventeen, a star needs only one name. Piolo. Echo. Clau.” /edv
