P-pop girl group BINI will highlight elements of the Philippines’ natural landscape through their outfits for Coachella 2026, with looks inspired by the sea and land.

The third and last day of preparations of the eight-member act was featured in a “TV Patrol” report where stylist Ica Villanueva gave a glimpse into BINI’s costumes at the international music festival.

“For Day 1, ipapakita namin elements of the sea and for Day 2, elements of land,” Villanueva said, explaining the visual direction of the group’s stage outfits. The preparations for costumes began as early as December last year.

The stylist added that the concept is rooted in BINI’s identity as artists as they aim to claim the tropical queen title coming from a tropical country that the Philippines is.

“We wanted to introduce ourselves. This is the BINI brand, the BINI core. Kumuha ako ng mga elements and trademarks sa mga hit songs namin. Our goal sa Coachella is to claim the title of tropical queens, so I categorize it sa sea and land,” Villanueva explained.

Aside from the costumes, BINI’s vocal coach, Anna Graham, said she is also focusing on nurturing the vocal health of the girls, given that the venue of Coachella is in a desert.

“Sabi ko, you really have to start hydrating more. I think every hour, they have to drink water para at least ‘yung vocal folds and cords are well hydrated,” she said.

The first two days of BINI’s training preparations earlier saw the girls power through an intense seven-hour rehearsal on the first day alone as they polished their anticipated 45-minute Coachella set.

BINI is set to make history as the first all-Filipino group to perform at the festival. The eight-member P-pop act is scheduled to take the stage on April 10 and April 17 in Indio, California (April 11 and April 18 in the Philippines). The performances are free to watch live on Coachella’s official YouTube channel.

Ahead of their Coachella debut, BINI, alongside South Korean girl group Katseye, topped the global Google Search trends for the month of April, reflecting heightened public interest related to their appearance in one of the biggest music festivals in the world. /ra
