MANILA, Philippines – Not everyone has been given the special opportunity to help spread God’s message of universal love, hope, unity and peace among millions of people of diverse religious faiths and beliefs throughout the world.

It will be the turn of Filipino fans to enjoy and experience listening to God’s words through the sound of contemporary Christian music when Don Moen comes to Manila in November for his much-awaited 2012 tour  that will open with a major concert on November 8 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

The concert series, titled “God Will Make A Way!  Philippine Tour 2012, “will also take Don to Southern Philippines for  performances at the Bohol Wisdom School Gym in Tagbilaran City on November 10 and at the FSUU Gym in Butuan City on November 11.

To be produced by Ovation Productions, the tour will showcase the internationally-acclaimed talent of the American singer and songwriter who has attracted millions during the past three decades for his style of praise-and-music songs that interprets closely the words of the Bible, such as “God Will Make A Way,” “Thank You, Lord,” “God Is Good All The Time” and “Give Thanks.”

Other Christian songs that he has popularized include “Lord,  I Offer My Life To You,” “I Want To Be Where You Are,” “Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord,” “Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate,” “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and many more.

The musical event is expected to draw another record attendance, especially from Don’s solid base of devoted Filipino fans of various social classes and religious beliefs that he has established during his many successful performances here in the past.

Associated with some of the best-known songs in contemporary Christian music, the talent and flair for music of the Minneapolis, Minnesota-born artist first bloomed while he was attending Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma.

After a stint as a Living Sound musician for Terry Law Ministries in the late ‘70s through early ‘80s, he joined Integrity Incorporated, authors of the “Hosanna! Music” praise-and-worship series, in 1984.

As worship leader, he produced a total of 11 volumes in the series, including the first album, “Hosanna! Music: Give Thanks,” which sold hundreds of thousands of copies and became the label’s bestseller.

He followed this up with a number of successful albums of his own, starting with the first album, “Worship with Don Moen (1992),” and including two in Spanish, “En Tu Presencia” and “Trono de Gracia”. His music has total global sales of over five million copies.

Don received a Dove Award for his work on the musical, “God With Us,” and Dove Award nominations for ”God Will Make A Way” and eight other songs two years earlier.

In 2003, Integrity released a greatest hits compilation featuring 19 top hits and aptly titled, “God Will Make A Way: The Best of Don Moen.”

After working for 20 years in such positions as creative director and president of Integrity Media, president of Integrity Label Group and executive producer of Integrity Music albums, Don left Integrity Media in 2008 to start a new venture, the Don Moen Company, which eventually acquired MediaComplete, the church software company that created MediaShout.

A prolific songwriter, Don has worked with Claire Cloninger, Paul Overstreet, Martin J. Nystrom, Randy Rothwell, Ron Kenoly, Bob Fitts, Debbye Graafsma, Paul Baloche, Tom Brooks, among many others.

He has also worked with talented musicians like Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Alex Acuna, Paul Jackson, Jr., Lenny LeBlanc and Carl Albrecht.

Don’s album, “Hiding Place,” became his first studio album which was recorded at Paragon Studios in Franklin, Tennessee and released in the autumn of 2006, followed by “I Believe There Is More” in the fall of 2008 and “Uncharted Territory” on March, 27, 2012.

Due to be released last October 22, 2012 was his new Christmas album, “Christmas: A Season of Home,” with some songs recorded at a studio in the Czech Republic.
