Aubrey Plaza expecting first child with partner Chris Abbott

Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child with actor Christopher Abbott, more than a year after the death of her ex-husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena.
A representative for the actress confirmed the pregnancy to People magazine on Tuesday, April 7, saying that the baby is due in fall 2026.
The representative described the pregnancy as a “beautiful surprise” for Plaza following a difficult period in her life due to Baena’s death.
Plaza and Abbott have kept their relationship private. The two have previously worked together on the 2020 film “Black Bear” and the off-Broadway production of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” from 2023 to 2024. It is not immediately known to the public when they started dating.

The pregnancy news comes after Baena’s death in January 2025 at age 47, which authorities ruled a suicide.
Plaza and Baena, who married in 2021 after a decade-long relationship, had separated months before his passing but are said to have “remained in contact.”
E! News said citing Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report that the pair separated in September 2024 when Plaza moved to New York.
Meanwhile, Plaza rose to fame for her breakout role as April Ludgate in the TV series “Parks and Recreation.” She later gained critical acclaim for her portrayal of Harper Spiller in the HBO series “The White Lotus.”
The 41-year-old actress was last seen in the films “Honey Don’t!” and “My Old Ass,” and the Marvel series “Agatha All Along.” She also previously appeared in “Ingrid Goes West,” “Emily the Criminal,” and “Megalopolis.” /edv
