IZA CALZADO: Ben (Wintle, her boyfriend) and I went to Cebu and stayed at the Abaca boutique resort, my fave haven there. They value guests’ privacy. They have good food, beautiful rooms and excellent service. I loved that I could take three days off from work to soak up some sun, dive and be with my favorite travel buddy.
MARVIN Agustin learned to play golf with kids’ help.
MARVIN AGUSTIN: I started golf training coached by my kids, Santiago and Sebastian. They and their mom, Tet, gave me a golf set as an advanced birthday gift. My kids taught me the proper golfing form.
MIRIAM QUIAMBAO: I went to Albay in Bicol for the celebration of my granduncle’s (Bishop Lucilo Quiambao) 80th birthday. The highlight was nature-tripping, worship/prayer time with the Mayon volcano in full view, running under the full moon with my dad and holding hands with my mom while walking on the beach, swimming in the serene waters as if it was my backyard pool, eating ginataang crab with my hands and bathing under the poso (artesian well), which was [new] to me. It reminded me of my childhood, when life was simple and uncomplicated.
BAYANI AGBAYANI: We stayed home watching movies and enjoying my wife Len’s home cooking, which, for me, is the best. Then we went to Clark, indulged in our craving for Japanese food at Zen in Pampanga and stayed overnight at Mimosa. The cute part was when my daughter, Mikmik, wanted to go to a playground. We had to walk very far to find one. We had no nannies with us so I enjoyed watching over her for three hours while she played.
Whatever your plans this month, let’s make it a MOVEmber as the Christmas countdown begins. Seize the day! Never let your “growing days” cease.
A year cuter
Coco Martin turned a year cuter on November 1. The Belo Men endorser spent the birthday quietly with his family.
“I finally got to have quality time with them,” said Coco. “I wanted nothing more than that for my birthday.”
His fans are eagerly awaiting his next project. “I’m slated to do a movie with Julia Montes,” he revealed. “The new teleserye will probably start in February.”
I’m sure Cocoholics already want to fast-forward the Valentine month.
Templo on Danita
MIRIAM Quiambao took a bath under a poso in Bicol.
I promised to get Mike Templo’s side about Danita Paner’s complaint against him (which I wrote in my Monday column). The actress alleged that the TV5 anchor/lawyer touched her legs during a recent party.
Through our common friend, Noel Ferrer, here’s what Templo said: “I have conveyed my sentiments to Danita through well-meaning friends. I hope that settles the issue. Danita has told friends that she was no longer bent on pressing charges or making the issue bigger.”

See you at my good friend Tintin Bersola-Babao’s Celebrity Bazaar, Nov. 9-11, at World Trade Center Hall A, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. My son IC and I will be selling some of our stuff. Other participating celebs include Korina Sanchez, Say Alonzo, Gretchen Fullido and Gladys Reyes. There will also be a “Good Morning Club” and TV5 Kapatid booth. Proceeds will go to chosen charities.
