Pageant fans were abuzz after they noticed that the official page of the Miss Universe Organization cannot be found on Instagram, with speculations that it has either been deactivated or hacked.

As of Thursday morning, Feb. 19, the link to the pageant organization’s page only shows the notice that reads, “Profle isn’t available. The link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.”

Miss Universe’s official Facebook page, on the other hand, is still up as of this writing. Its latest post, shared on Wednesday, Feb. 18, shows glimpses of reigning queen Fatima Bosch’s recent visit to Ecuador.

The organization has yet to comment on the matter.

FEATURED STORIES

Bosch, for her part, has been active on her Instagram page even as her joint posts with Miss Universe went missing. The Mexican beauty queen shared Bible verses on Thursday, Feb. 19.

“‘God is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? God is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to devour my flesh, my adversaries and foes, they stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, even then I will be confident,'” she wrote in Spanish.

“I am a daughter of the living God, I am a daughter of the Most High King,” she said, along with a photo of the sea.

The Miss Universe Organizations had been hounded by controversies in 2025 after allegations that Bosch’s victory was predetermined, citing her and her father’s alleged connection with pageant owner Raul Rocha. Adding to these issues are the criminal case against Rocha for alleged drugs, weapons and fuel trafficking.

The pageant organization is also racked by rumors that it is facing a leadership crisis amid Rocha’s case.

Filipino businessman and politician Luis “Chavit” Singson earlier signified his intentions to acquire the entire MUO and even met with former Miss Universe executives from the United Stated, who visited the country last January to discuss the buyout deal. /edv
