The spotlight is on Sam Reid’s Lestat de Lioncourt in the latest teaser for “The Vampire Lestat,” which marks the third season of “Interview with the Vampire.”

In the clip released by AMC on Friday, Feb. 13, Lestat sits in front of the camera while being interviewed by Daniel Molloy — portrayed by Eric Bogosian — for a documentary.

“I am The Vampire Lestat. I am a god,” Lestat says.

The video then transitions to a shirtless Lestat throwing himself into the cheering crowd during what appears to be a performance. Jacob Anderson’s Louis de Pointe du Lac was also seen watching Lestat in a distance amid the rowdy audience.

FEATURED STORIES

The upcoming season of the hit vampire series will follow the story of Lestat, hence the title change from “Interview with the Vampire.” It will feature the immortal rockstar “[going] on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by ‘muses’ from his wild and rebellious past.”

Meanwhile, aside from the teaser, also unveiled on Friday was Lestat’s first official rock single, “Long Face.” The song was composed by Daniel Hart and performed by Reid.

“‘Long Face’ is the first song I wrote for ‘The Vampire Lestat.’ We decided early on to make David Bowie a big influence for Lestat’s musical style and persona, and there’s certainly some Ziggy Stardust in this song. But we chose Bowie not only for his glam era, but because he was a chameleon,” Hart said.

“Expect Lestat to change his musical colors throughout the season as well, as he discovers how to remain true to himself, and how to express that truth on stage every night,” he added.
