It’s the witching hour tomorrow! Here are some more “trick and treat” stories from celebs. Don’t brew what I wouldn’t brew.
AIKO MELENDEZ: “Five years ago, my friends and I went to Balete Drive. I was wearing a white lady costume. I stood under a tree with a flashlight. It scared the passersby. They all ran away like crazy!”
LOVI POE: “When I was a little girl, I had a giant doll. I placed the doll on a chair, turned off the lights and played the soundtrack from ‘The Omen.’ My
mom was bothered because of the loud music and got so frightened by the doll. I couldn’t stop laughing.”
PAOLO AVELINO: “When I was a kid, I used to ‘kidnap’ my sister’s doll. I would set the doll free in exchange for all her candy.”
CHINA COJUANGCO: “Mikee and I were always a tandem. As kids, we were the tomboys because we played with boys’ toys. She had an RC Ferrari and I had a Corvette. We would race along the hallway of the house. Whenever Mai-Mai would be out, Mikee and I would ransack Mai’s Barbie basket. We would cut the hair of Barbie and dress her like Ken, dress Ken like Barbie, remove their heads and interchange them. When Mai saw her collection, she went insane and cried her head off. It didn’t happen just once; we did it regularly.”
A better man
Enjoyed my tete-a-tete with Hayden Kho at the press launch of ZO, the newest skin product line of Dr. Zein Obagi, which he handles as operations manager.
After all the storms Hayden has been through, he has not lost his zest for life. He owned up to his mistakes and has bounced back. Hayds is now a better man.
Excerpts from our interview:
How’s your relationship with Dr. Vicki Belo?
We still do business together. The friendship remains. I only have good words for her. There’s no woman quite like her.
Do you get affected when Vicki gets linked to other guys?
Of course. But I don’t meddle. I always want her to be happy.
What’s your message to Katrina Halili who’s now a mommy?
I envy her for having a baby. I dream of having a family too, someday. I wish her, Kris Lawrence and their baby well. It’s a new beginning for her.
Are you going to focus on your show biz career now?
I have so much on my plate. Show biz is just one part of them. I’m doing a movie. I’m learning a lot from my coactors. I’m seriously trying my best to act.
What’s the biggest lesson you learned after all you’ve been through?
Never commit the same mistake again and believe in second chances.
