Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos’ camp appeals to public not to make prejudgment

Amid the mauling allegations against them, the camp of Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos appealed to the public to let the investigation run its course and keep away from making prejudgment about the actresses.
Dee and Ramos, along with beauty queen Samantha Panlilio, were accused of assault and illegal detention by Ramos’ personal driver, alias Totoy. The driver said the alleged mauling incident stemmed from accusations that he stole a film roll owned by Dee.
The actresses, through their legal counsel Maggie Abraham-Garduque, have denied Totoy’s claims and stressed that these are “physically impossible” because Dee was in Iloilo on the day he claimed the incident transpired.
“Sana let’s allow the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) to do the investigation. Let us not make prejudgments on this,” Abraham-Garduque said. “Kami naman, on the part of our clients, we’ll follow the procedure.”
(I hope we allow the NBI to do the investigation. Let us not make prejudgments on this. On the other hand, we, on the part of our clients, will follow the procedure.)
“We’ll do our very best to be able to show or prove that hindi totoo itong mga allegations na ito. Sana hintayin natin ‘yon at ‘wag natin silang i-prejudge,” she added. “Hopefully lumabas ‘yung totoo regarding this matter.”
(We’ll do our very best to be able to show or prove that these allegations are untrue. I hope the public can wait and, for the meantime, refrain from prejudging [Michelle and Rhian].)
The lawyer further noted that Dee and Ramos “felt betrayed” amid Totoy’s accusations, as he has been working for them for four years.
“Sobrang disappointing kay Michelle, lalo na kay Rhian kasi siya ‘yung nag-hire sa driver. She also felt bad about it… Sobrang umiiyak siya kasi mahal niya ‘yung driver,” Abraham-Garduque stated.
(It was very disappointing for Michelle especially for Rhian because she was the one who hired him. Rhian also felt bad about it. She was crying because she loved her driver.)
“Si Michelle naman, binigyan niya pa [si Totoy] ng pamasko,” she continued. “Masakit sa kanila kasi may pinagsamahan sila… This is really a betrayal of trust and confidence that they gave to the driver.”
(Michelle even gave Totoy a gift last Christmas. This is painful for them because they had a good relationship. This is really a betrayal of trust and confidence that they gave to the driver.)
No formal complaint has been filed yet against Dee and Ramos. The actresses’ lawyer, meanwhile, said they are eyeing on filing libel and perjury complaints against Ramos’ driver. /ra
