Jopay Paguia undergoes surgery for knee injury

SexBomb Girls member Jopay Paguia had to undergo surgery for her knee injury, just over a week after she was hospitalized for concussion.
The performer revealed her condition through her Instagram page on Tuesday, Jan. 20, showing herself wearing a hospital gown with face mask and surgical cap on.
“Operation day. Trusting God completely,” she said in the caption.
She also added the Bible verse “Do not fear, for I am with you,” along with the hashtags “knee injury operation,” “Jopay, kamusta ka na” and “laban walang babawi” — which are references to lyrics of Mayonnaise’s song “Jopay” and SexBomb Girls’ “Bakit Papa?”.

Her husband, Joshua Zamora, also showed Paguia lying in a hospital bed, through his Facebook page on Tuesday.
“May God cover her with His peace and protection as the procedure is done. May every hand that touches her knees be guided with wisdom and care. We pray that the fluid will be removed smoothly, without complications, and that healing will come quickly and completely,” he wrote.
“May pain and discomfort be gone, strength be restored, and recovery be fast. Above all, may she feel God’s comforting presence and assurance that she is not alone,” he added. “Trusting Him for a successful operation and full healing.”
Further details about Paguia’s condition, including how she sustained her knee injury, were not immediately shared to the public.
Paguia previously had to undergo CT (computerized tomography) scan and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) due to concussion caused by bathroom tiles falling on her head.
Prior to the accident, Paguia, along with her fellow SexBomb Girls members, held a two-day “Get, Get, Aw!” reunion concert last December. The girl group is set to hold three more shows in February. /ra
