3 seasoned journalists named as new MTRCB members

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has named three new members of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
In a letter confirmed by Palace press officer Claire Castro to reporters on Friday, it stated that the following individuals will replace outgoing officials ahead of the board’s next term cycle:
- Nestor Cuartero, replacing Jerry Talavera
- Maria Rosario Fabregas, replacing Cherry Espion
- Maria Cecilia Villarosa, replacing Jan Marini Cadungog

Their terms will expire on September 30, 2026, according to the letter dated December 2.
Cuartero is a veteran entertainment journalist who authored “PH Movie Confidential,” “At Large, At Leisure,” and “Easy Listening,” among others.
Villarosa and Fabregas are also seasoned professional journalists, with decades of combined experience in mass media and communications. /mr
