MANILA, Philippines – No gags, no gimmicks, just music. That, in a nutshell, is what the Jonas Brothers said fans should expect at the group’s concert on October 19 at SM Mall of Asia Arena and on October 20 at the Waterfront Cebu Hotel’
The shows, mounted by local promoter That’s Ntertainment, will kick off a seven-city Asian, European and South American tour that was hatched after the Jonas Brothers held its reunion gig on Oct. 11 at Radio City Hall in New York.
“We just want to focus on the music to connect with our audience,” Nick Jonas, 20, the youngest of the three brothers, told reporters at a press conference on Thursday at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
The brothers are getting back together as a group after taking a hiatus to pursue individual projects and interests.

“It’s nerve-wracking to be onstage again after some time,” said Joe, 23, said. “You tend to forget the lyrics of some of the songs.”
Kevin, 24, pointed out that doing the reality TV series “Married To Jonas” has helped him strengthen his relationship with his wife Danielle.
Asked by the Philippine Daily Inquirer what they thought about the renewed interest in boy bands especially the hot English vocal group One Direction, Nick said: “I guess it comes in cycles. It’s amazing how people are accepting that musical style again.”
As for which profession, music or acting, gives them more fulfillment, Joe didn’t think twice in choosing music. “This is where we started.”

Nick, however, played it safe by saying they have fun doing both.
The group’s four albums – “It’s About Time (2006), “Jonas Brothers” (2007), “A Little Bit Longer” (2008) and “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” (2009) have sold more than eight million copies worldwide.
A new album is currently in the works.
After the Philippine shows, the Jonas Brothers will proceed to Singapore (October 22), Malaysia (October 25), Russia (St. Petersburg, November 6; Moscow, November 8) and Chile (Vina del Mar, February 28, 2013).
