Bruno Mars, Blackpink’s Rosé notice hilarious VMA win greeting from PH

Filipino humor has gone international as Bruno Mars and Blackpink’s Rosé expressed their amusement over a congratulatory tarpaulin greeting from Filipino fans for the singers’ 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) win.
The Grammy award-winning singer shared through his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 24, a tarpaulin featuring a photo of the K-pop star and what appears to be a distorted snap of him.
“Congratulations Rosé and Bruno Mars on winning VMA Song of the Year. Philippines is proud of uuu,” the caption in the poster reads.
Mars shared this along with a rolling on the floor laughing emoji, and with Black Eyed Peas’ song “Bebot” as background music.

Rosé re-shared Mars’ post on her Instagram Stories as well, adding the caption, “My hubba hubs” alongside a smiling face with hearts emoji.

The tarpaulin was apparently designed and displayed by Xylk Lorena and Fleasayo Olowalaflea of We Life Design, who have been producing similar poster greetings for foreign artists.
Mars and Rosé won in the VMA earlier this month with their hit song “APT.” Aside from this, Mars also bagged the Best Collaboration accolade with Lady Gaga for their track “Die With a Smile”; while Rosé’s girl group Blackpink was named the Best Group of the Year. /edv
