BIRTHDAY boy blows out the candles: What did he wish for?
Actor-politician Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. turned 46 in high style with a party that gathered revelers from the worlds of show biz, politics and even sports.
The bash was held on the eve of his actual birthday (September 25) at the Diamond Hotel in Manila.
World boxing champ Manny Pacquiao led the well-wishers, who included basketball legends Robert Jaworksi Sr. and Atoy Co.

Rep. Lani Mercado, Sen. Bong’s wife, welcomed guests, along with his children and siblings. But as far as the birthday boy was concerned, the biggest VIP guest was his father, former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr.

“My dad was on the verge of tears…happy to be reunited with old friends from the Senate,” Bong said.

Mercado performed two disco tunes, “Last Dance” and “I Will Survive.” In turn, Bong serenaded his wife with the ballads “She” and “The Way You Look Tonight.”
As the celebration promised to go on until the wee hours, Revilla announced: “No one is allowed to go home sober. Let’s all have fun.”
His guests were only too happy to comply.
