DINGDONG Dantes and Marian Rivera: “We’re rock solid.”
Dingdong Dantes has every reason to be proud of his movie “Tiktik (The Aswang Chronicles),” which we at the Cinema Evaluation Board have given a “B” rating.
“My Agostodos Pictures decided to partner with GMA Films, Reality Entertainment, Mothership and Post Manila,” said Dingdong, endorser of Belo Men. “I believe this project is a breakthrough in terms of CGI technology in the country. I haven’t seen an aswang but I believe there are such creatures. It is clear in my imagination, from all the stories told to me as a child. ‘Tiktik’ refers to the type of aswang that perches on rooftops, waiting to have the first taste of a pregnant woman’s fetus.”
As far as another kind of aswang (as a verb that means to be snatched by another woman) is concerned, Dong clarified that his girlfriend Marian Rivera had nothing to worry about rumors linking him to Isabelle Daza.
“Our foundation is strong enough, so no amount of intrigues can come between us,” he said. “No matter how busy we are, we find time to be together. We’re rock solid.”
So many rumors, so little evidence. After all the girls who have been linked to Dong (Bela Padilla, Heart Evangelista, etc.), Marian must be immune by now.
To the rescue
Fab mom Gloria Diaz has come to Isabelle Daza’s defense: “She’s not the type who would fall for someone who’s already taken. Dong and Marian are a perfect couple. They look good together. Bel is not used to intrigues, so I told her that it was no big deal and that it would wear itself out.” Ahh, Mommy Fiercest!
Open secret
ANGELICA Panganiban in love
Angelica Panganiban posted a collage of her “happy pose” pics on her Instagram with this caption: “The best things in life are unseen. That’s why we close our eyes when we kiss, cry and dream. This time, I prefer to open my eyes so I can see you. Thank You for the happiness.”
She’s apparently referring to John Lloyd Cruz. Their romance is now an open secret—till their movie opens.
Cool dad
Aga Muhlach’s cool dad, Tito Cheng Muhlach, sent me this text to clarify the disqualification issue hounding Aga’s political bid: “Aga’s rivals filed a case but he won that already last week. The disqualification case has been dismissed. He is now the official bet of the Liberal Party so it’s all systems go for his candidacy in the 4th district of Camsur. I’m from Goa, the biggest town there. We have many relatives there. I speak fluent Bicolano.”
