Comedians MC Muah and Lassy Marquez returned to “It’s Showtime” on Thursday, Aug, 21, after over two months of being absent from hosting the show.

The duo, more popularly known as MC and Lassy, surprised the Madlang People after they showed up alongside fellow hosts Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzales, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ion Perez and Cianne Dominguez for the opening spiels.

MC and Lassy greeted the audience and elicited cheers even from the hosts.

During the “Laro Laro Pick” segment, they also had a banter with Vice Ganda who jokingly pointed out how MC already struggled with dancing during his first day back on the show.

The program also dedicated a greeting to the comedians through its Facebook page.

“Welcome home, MC & LASSY!” it said.

MC and Lassy, whose last attendance on “It’s Showtime” prior to this was in June, did not immediately talk about their absence.

Some have speculated that the duo’s non-appearance on the show was caused by a supposed rift with their close friend Vice Ganda. The misunderstanding supposedly stemmed from a vlog in which Vice Ganda openly called MC out for the latter’s apparent attitude during their Palawan trip.

While the three comedian-TV hosts have yet to confirm or deny this, it can be noted that they had been seen together in several instances even before MC and Lassy returned to “It’s Showtime.” /ra
