Jameson Blake says he and Barbie Forteza are ‘not together’

Days after being spotted holding hands at a fun run, Jameson Blake denied that he is in a relationship with Barbie Forteza and that he was just helping her navigate through the crowd at the event.

Blake and Forteza were hounded by dating rumors after they were seen together at a fun run in Pampanga last June, with photos of them holding hands while accommodating photo requests from fans.

However, in a message to entertainment insider Ogie Diaz, as seen on the July 4 episode of the latter’s showbiz vlog, the actor clarified that he is not in a relationship with Forteza.

“Sinabi ni Jameson, ‘Honestly, we are not together. The reason why nahuli kaming holding hands kasi ang daming tao na nagpapicture sa kanya (Jameson said, ‘Honestly, we are not together. The reason why we were caught holding hands is because a lot of people wanted to have a picture taken with her),’” he said, as quoted by Diaz while reading a message from his phone.

According to Blake, he was merely assisting Forteza throughout the event, although he understood where the speculations were coming from.

“I was just assisting her palabas. Gets ko naman people will think different. Crowd control ako that time. Inaalalayan ko si Barbie (I was just assisting her while being out. I understood why people will think differently. I just took the role of crowd control at that time. I helped Barbie around),” he said.

Forteza, on the other hand, has yet to address the dating speculations with Blake, as of this writing.

This was not the first time the actors were spotted together. They were also seen at a “Takbo para sa Pelikulang Pilipino” last May.

They are set to be paired up in the upcoming Netflix film “Kontrabida Academy,” which also stars Eugene Domingo. Details about the premiere date and storyline are yet to be revealed, as of this writing.

The actress also made headlines after she was seen interacting with her ex-boyfriend Jak Roberto at a GMA 75th anniversary event last June. Despite the sighting, she reiterated that she didn’t want to touch on their breakup out of respect for their past relationship. /edv
