Anthony Hopkins plays Alfred Hitchcock

Director Sacha Gervasi brings iconic and beloved filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock back to life in “Hitchcock,” featuring an all-star ensemble led by Anthony Hopkins in the title role. Other big names in the cast are Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, James D’Arcy and Toni Collette.

The movie within a movie has created early buzz for the next Oscars. It brings the late master’s love story to the fore during the period that filmed the classic horror movie “Psycho.” Hitchcock’s wife and creative partner, Alma Reville, will be played by Helen Mirren.

The Fox Searchlight Pictures presentation will be screened in Philippine cinemas starting Jan. 23, 2013 by 20th Century Fox through Warner Bros.
