The music label reminded fans that no special events will be held on the day of Suga’s discharge due to safety risks.
“No special events are planned on the day of Suga’s discharge. Overcrowding can pose safety risks, and we sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” it said.
Despite this, BigHit extended its gratitude to fans who continue to support the K-pop powerhouse.
“We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for Suga. Our company will continue to put our utmost efforts into supporting our artists,” it said. “Thank you once again for your continued love and support for BTS.”
Suga is the final member of BTS to be discharged from mandatory military service. As a social service worker, the duration of his service is about three months longer than the usual active-duty service in the military.
Social service work is assigned to Korean men who are deemed unfit for active-duty service due to health reasons and other related factors.
Suga’s bandmates RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook were discharged from their mandatory service earlier this month. Meanwhile, Jin and J-Hope ended their military service in June 2024 and October 2024, respectively. /ra
