Celebrity twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi have a special nickname for their dad, Zoen Legaspi, whom they call “Papa Z” because they consider him the “bunso” or baby of the family.
The Legaspi twins were asked on the sidelines of the MEGA Ball to describe Zoren as a father, and they disclosed that the family patriarch was not the typical father-figure that one might be used to.
“Ohmigod,” Cassy and Mavy said almost simultaneously.
“You’d be surprised, but ‘yung nickname niya, ‘Papa Z,’ is [because] he is the bunso. He acts like the bunso. That’s the best part of our dynamic,” Mavy said. “He gets to be a father and a best friend, and he also gets to be a little brother because he is so much fun to be around.”
Cassy said Zoren’s way of raising them evolved as they got older.
“As we grew older, his manner and way of rearing us also changed. When we were younger, the discipline was there. But now that we have become older, we’re more of like best friends. Of course, there is still that respect factor, but now, I’m very proud to say that my dad is my best friend,” she said.

The celebrity twins also shared that they will “give extra focus” to Zoren on Father’s Day, adding that he is a simple person who wants to see his family complete on his special day.
“It’s the leader of the pack’s day. It’s his day. We will give extra focus to Papa Z. He is a simple man. He just wants dinner. For him, it doesn’t matter whether we would eat in a fancy restaurant or at home. As long as the family is complete. That’s what our dad wants,” Mavy said.
The celebrity twins have long been vocal about their love for Zoren as well as their mother Carmina Villarroel, on multiple occasions. They are often spotted celebrating special occasions and other milestones together.
Cassy, Mavy, Zoren, and Carmina are set to star in the upcoming show “Hating Kapatid,” where they are joined by Valerie Concepcion, Leandro Baldemor, and Mel Kimura. /edv
