TV host Joyce Pring proudly announced that she is finally about to graduate from college after dropping out of university over a decade ago, describing it as “a dream 15 years in the making.”
Pring shared her inspiring story in an Instagram post on Friday, June 13, as she recalled how “crushed” she felt when she had to stop her studies at 18 due to financial struggles.
“I carried that pain and shame well into my young adulthood. I used to think about my ‘wasted’ potential — what I could’ve become if I had been given the chance to finish. But in my mid-20s, I began to realize: even though I didn’t follow the traditional path, God still made much of my life,” she reflected.
The video jockey, who is set to finish with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, shared that she decided to go back to college in 2023 when her manager and mentor, Betchay Vidanes, convinced her to continue her undergraduate studies.

“I didn’t tell many people when I started this journey. I needed to make sure I was doing it for the right reasons — to close a chapter I’d left open 15 years ago. Not for applause. Just for me,” she stated.
“I wanted to fulfill this dream because diploma or diskarte (strategy) is a false dichotomy; one can do both, even if it’s a long and arduous journey. I wanted to graduate so I could finally tell my 18-year-old self […] that despite everything she had to go through, God has always been good,” continued the host.
Pring also thanked her husband, actor Juancho Triviño, for being her “constant encourager” as she juggled motherhood and student life.
“He has been the one person who’s enabled me to do all these things that you see me do — he’s the current that drives me forward, the calm that I call home, and the steady strength that uplifts me when the waves of life become too overwhelming,” she expressed.
Pring and Triviño tied the knot in 2020. They have two children together. /ra
