Ju Ji-hoon set to meet fans in Manila

Filipino fans of South Korean actor Ju Ji-hoon are in for a treat as he is set to fly to the country in August and hold his first-ever fan meeting in Manila.
Ju Ji-hoon, best known for starring in Korean TV series “Princess Hours,” “Kingdom” and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” will be interacting with his fans in his 2025 Asia Tour Fan Meeting “JUNIVERSE.”
The Manila leg of his tour is set to be held on Aug. 2 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Aside from the abovementioned shows, Ju Ji-hoon’s acting portfolio also includes “The Devil,” “Hyena” and the film ” Along with the Gods.”
His most recent portrayal was trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk in “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” which earned him in May the Best Actor accolade at the 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards.

“I’ve worked on many comic-based projects… In this case, I felt that if the story wasn’t grounded in realism, it would come across as too far-fetched,” he said of his role in the 2025 TV series, noting how he drew inspiration from a renowned Korean trauma surgeon to make his portrayal authentic.
“Through that, I got a sense of my character’s determination to do whatever it takes to save a patient, needing nothing else. I indirectly felt the professor’s sense of dedication and commitment through those documentaries, and it really helped me,” he added. /ra
