Crowns that Binibining Pilipinas won
Established in 1964, Binibining Pilipinas prides itself into being the longest-running national beauty pageant in the Philippines. Organized by the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), the national pageant was founded to select the Philippines’ representative to the Miss Universe pageant at the time.
Stella Marquez-Araneta, winner of the first-ever Miss International pageant, is the current BPCI chairperson, with Conchitina Sevilla-Bernardo as co-chair.
The Binibining Pilipinas pageant has helped cement the Philippines’ reputation as an international pageant powerhouse by producing four Miss Universe winners, five Miss International queens, and runners-up in both major global competitions.
The Philippines’ lone Miss Supranational winner, two Miss Intercontinental queens, and two The Miss Globe titleholders are also products of the Binibining. Pilipinas pageant. /edv
