Polo Ravales, Rodjun Cruz share their favorite things about fatherhood

Ahead of this year’s Father’s Day, actors Polo Ravales and Rodjun Cruz opened up about the joys of fatherhood, sharing how the simplest moments with their children bring them the greatest happiness.
Ravales recently shared with INQUIRER.net that being a father brings him “wonderful feelings” and that sitting beside his child is enough to make him feel complete.
“I love being a dad. I love playing with my kid. I realized that when you are already a father, even though you are just sitting next to your child, you will already feel content. No matter what you guys are doing, whether it be watching television or something else, you already feel complete,” he said.
Ravales is currently engaged to fitness coach Paulyn Quiza. They welcomed their first child, Yatrick Paul, in September 2021. Quiza has an older son, Tyler, from a previous relationship.
Ravales began his showbiz career in 1996 when he joined the second batch of members on the teen show “T.G.I.S.” In 2005, he landed his first major role in the hit telefantasya series “Encantadia.”
After recently making a guest appearance in Richard Gutierrez and Daniel Padilla’s series “Incognito,” Ravales currently stars in the digital series “Si Sol at si Luna” alongside Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza.

Meanwhile, for Cruz, the daily hugs and affection from his kids are what give him strength and inspiration every day.
“My favorite part of being a father is when my kids show affection to me; for me, that’s a blessing. That kind of thing serves as my strength every day before I go to work. Joaquin, my baby boy, is so sweet. He kisses and hugs me every single time. He’s also very vocal; he says, ‘I love you, daddy,’ and ‘If you’re not here, if you’re working, I’m looking for you,’” he shared.
“And of course, Isabella, she’s turning one. Our bonding time is every time I put her to bed. She takes after us and loves music as well. Sometimes I sing, and she grooves to it,” added the actor.
Cruz and his wife Dianne Medina recently made headlines after they purchased two separate residential lots, one for each of their young kids.
Medina and Cruz tied the knot in December 2019. They welcomed their firstborn in September 2020 and their second child in July of last year. /edv
