Amid the rumored breakup hounding Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao, the latter’s sister, Michele Gumabao, said the actress continues to have a good relationship with their family.
Michele shared during a recent guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that there is no bad blood between Reyes and the Gumabaos despite the speculations surrounding the couple’s relationship.
“I don’t actually know where they are now in their relationship. I just know that I still talked to her last week and I got to see her too, especially when our dad passed away. She has a good relationship with our family. At least whatever’s happening between them, people around like us were not affected,” she explained.
Michele also said she hadn’t seen her brother and that once she gets to see him, she would ask him about the rumor.
The volleyball player also recalled the time she didn’t immediately warm up to Reyes when Marco first introduced them to each other.
“I’m not just very warm at first I would say because I’d like to see first if the relationship is going to last. Of course, you don’t want to get close to a person if you’re just getting to know them for a time,” she said.
Michele recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Aldo Panlilio.
Meanwhile, earlier this week Ara Mina was also asked about the relationship between her sister Cristine and Marco, and she emphasized that the former was doing well.
“Well, whatever I know stays with me and I am not the right person [to tell] what’s the real score between them,” she said. “[But] she’s okay. She’s doing fine.”
Reyes and Gumabao, who went public with their relationship in 2023, sparked breakup rumors last April after netizens noticed that had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Even if they are now following each other again on the platform, most of their photos together on their respective profiles appear to have been removed as of this writing. /ra
