The Binibining Pilipinas pageant will have four of its alumnae taking hosting chores for the 2025 Grand Coronation Night, with a lineup of returning queens joined by one who will take on the task for the first time.
Nicole Cordoves, 2016 Miss Grand International runner-up, returns for her seventh straight year of hosting for the longest-running national beauty pageant. She first served as anchor in the 2018 edition.
And counting her participation as a candidate in 2016, and as a reigning queen in 2017, her 2025 hosting will be her ninth straight year of appearing in the grand coronation night.
Also returning as hosts are “Mareng” MJ Lastimosa, and 2016 Miss International Kylie Verzosa, who both joined the roster of presenters at the 60th anniversary show held last year.
Lastimosa, 2014 Miss Universe finalist, marked her first hosting gig for the Bb. Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night in 2023. The 2025 show will be her third straight appearance.
Joining the three ladies in the lineup is Maureen Montagne, who is the first winner of The Miss Globe pageant to ever host the Bb. Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night.
Having both Verzosa and Montagne as hosts makes a lot of sense because the Miss International pageant and The Miss Globe contest are the two remaining global competitions still affiliated with the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI).
But pageant fans have noted that 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray will not be returning as host. She first took on the task in 2021, in the ceremonies held during the COVID-19 pandemic, and returned in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The 2025 Bb. Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at the Araneta City in Quezon City on June 15, with a telecast on TV5 on the same evening.
Thirty-six candidates from across the country are competing to succeed Bb. Pilipinas International Myrna Esguerra and Bb. Pilipinas Globe Jasmin Bungay. /edv
