Sharon Cuneta and Senator-elect Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan took some time off their busy schedules —including the latter’s proclamation as winning senator — to attend the graduation of their daughter Frankie Pangilinan in New York.
Cuneta shared glimpses of Frankie’s graduation on her Instagram page on Sunday, May 18, where she did her best to spot her daughter among the sea of graduating students.
“Ang layo namin kay Kakie nung grad nya!!! Pero ayun siya (We were so far from Kakie during her graduation. But she was there),” she captioned one of her posts.

Frankie was also surprised by her former yaya, Irish, after her graduation ceremony, before snapping photos with her parents and siblings, Miel and Miguel.
“Our surprise for @frankiepangilinan on her grad was her Yaya Irish! We brought her with us because she has taken care of Kakie for years now, and they are so close,” Cuneta wrote.

Before attending Frankie’s graduation, Sharon also shared a photo of a tulip bouquet given to her by Kiko, saying that it was her “wedding bouquet 29 years ago.”
“This is how my husband @kiko.pangilinan is. Day 1 in New York. Jetlagging, he stepped out this morning while I was still (half-) asleep, had breakfast with our son, and came back with these beautiful flowers for me,” she said. “You always make me feel so loved and precious. I love you!”

Kiko was among the winning senators of the recently-concluded May 12 elections after receiving 15,343,229 votes, according to the Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) official and final tally.
However, the newly elected Senator said beforehand that he won’t be present in his proclamation ceremony to attend Frankie’s graduation.
