Alex Gonzaga grateful as Mikee Morada wins Lipa vice mayoral race

Alex Gonzaga celebrated her husband Mikee Morada’s successful Lipa vice mayoral bid, underscoring how the latter’s heart is “truly for public service.”
The actress-TV host recalled moments from their campaign, showing themselves reaching out together to the voters, via her Instagram page on Tuesday, May 13.
“Thank you Lord Jesus! Thank you po mga Lipeño!” she began.
“My husband and I started the year with sadness in our hearts. But little by little, I see how the Lipeños have helped to relieve his sadness and longing for something we have been wanting to have for a long time,” she said.
Gonzaga did not expound on her remark, although it can be recalled that she suffered a third miscarriage in December 2024.
She then addressed Morada and wrote, “You are so humble. You humbly asked for support, you politely showed your wholehearted dedication to service. That is the reason why we, the whole family, wholeheartedly supported and accompanied you even if you didn’t ask for help.”
“I am so proud of you, Mikee. Your heart is truly for public service,” she added.
Concluding her statement with her trademark humor, Gonzaga said, “Sorry, sobra pong seryoso at drama pero ‘wag kayo mag-aalala dahil matutuloy na ang dobleng putukan namin ni Vice Mayor!”
(Sorry for being too serious and dramatic, but don’t worry because the “double putukan” with Vice Mayor will now happen!)
