Despite not being elected as the Batangas vice governor, Luis Manzano declared that he is still a winner and that this is just the start of his journey with the Batangueños.
The actor-TV host, who lost the vice gubernatorial race to incumbent Batangas Gov. Dodo Mandanas, nonetheless expressed his gratitude to those who supported him through his Instagram page on Wednesday, May 14.
“My fellow Batangueños, we may not have won the elections but I am still a winner because of you. I felt the heart of Batangas in your smiles, stories and hugs during the campaign,” he said.
“Thank you to my supporters, my family and, most especially, to God who guided me all through my fight,” he continued.
Manzano then reflected on how he became closer to his supporters, vowing that he would always keep them in his heart.
“Masigla at napakasaya ng kampanya dahil nakasama ko kayo. At kahit tapos na ang eleksyon, ito ay umpisa pa lamang ng matagal pa nating pagsasamahan,” he said.
(The campaign was lively and joyful because I was with you. And even when the elections are done, this is just the start of our long journey together.)
“Hanggang sa muli (Until next time). Thank you so much,” he concluded.
