Jane Oineza and Zaijian Jaranilla are set to explore the complexities of an age-gap romance in the upcoming digital series “Si Sol at si Luna.”

Released on May 11, the trailer introduces Jaranilla’s Sol as a student working on his thesis about love when he stumbles upon Oineza’s Luna, who is recovering from a heartbreak.

Sol decides to convince Luna to allow him to make her the subject of his thesis. “Love is a powerful thing. It can change people. Maybe it can change the world,” Jaranilla said in the voiceover.

At one point in the trailer, Jaranilla and Oineza are seen engaging in a steamy scene as their characters’ relationship develops despite a significant age difference.

Director Dolly Dulu expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming release of the digital series after it did not make it into this year’s CinePanalo film festival despite being shortlisted among the 16 best entries.

“I’m deeply grateful for the chance to bring ‘Si Sol at si Luna’ to screens,” said Dulu. “I’m very happy, especially since viewers have free access to YouTube, providing the material with a wider and more expansive reach.”

“Si Sol at si Luna” is the fourth series of the brand following “My Plantito,” “52 Weeks,” and “Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile.”

The series is set to premiere on YouTube on May 31, Saturday, at 7 PM. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly every Saturday at the same time.
