‘Kyungsotto’: Vico Sotto’s win revives talk on his resemblance to Doh Kyungsoo

Doh Kyungsoo of EXO is again making waves on social media after Vico Sotto was officially proclaimed Mayor of Pasig in the 2025 midterm elections.
Sotto landed a landslide victory in Pasig’s mayoral race with 345,375 votes over his closest rival, Sarah Discaya who got only 29,104 votes. His running mate, Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., and his Giting ng Pasig slate won a straight victory as well.
Following Sotto’s win, photos and clips of Doh made rounds of social media, with netizens pointing out their supposed resemblance with each other.
Some posted photos of the EXO member with hilarious greetings such as “congratulations mayor” and “congratulations on your third term.” Others referred to the Pasig Mayor as Doh’s “twinnie,” or “Kyungsotto,” a combination of his and the actor-singer’s names.

Since Sotto entered politics, his looks have often been noted for its close resemblance to the South Korean actor, particularly their high nose bridge, thick eyebrows, and almond-shaped eyes. Other fans also pointed out that the Pasig Mayor and Doh share the same no-nonsense personality and dry humor.
This is not the first time that Sotto had been compared with Doh. In January 2021, Sotto felt compelled to say he is “not an EXO member,” hinting that he has become aware of the comparisons with Doh.
Doh debuted as the main vocalist of the South Korean-Chinese group EXO in April 2012. He also made a name for himself as a solo artist and actor, appearing in the films and K-dramas such as “100 Days My Prince,” “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” “Bad Prosecutor,” “The Moon,” and “Secret: Untold Melody.”
