Khalil Ramos reminded fellow voters to be careful of shading their ballots, as he lamented that his party-list vote was “invalidated” due to alleged “overvoting.”

Ramos took to his X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday, May 12, to share that he “pressed a bit too hard” on the first page of his ballot, which left marks on the party-list section.

“Be extra careful when shading your ballots. I pressed a bit too hard on the first page, and it left marks on the back, right where the [party-list] section was. Sadly, my [party-list] vote was invalidated due to “overvoting.” Don’t make the same mistake,” he wrote.

The first page of an electoral ballot features the candidates for senators, members of the House of Representatives, and local government positions. The party-list groups are placed at the back of the ballot.

In a statement today, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco reiterated that bleeding of ink won’t lead to “overvotes” in party-list groups.

“Ovals in front and back page are not facing each other, So, any bleed through of the ink in the oval on Page 1 won’t seep through in any oval on Page 2,” he said, per an INQUIRER.net report.

Ramos is among the many celebrities who voted for their chosen candidates in the 2025 midterm elections. Other stars who cast their votes were Kim Chiu, Darren Espanto, Heart Evangelista, and Bea Binene, to name a few.

Ramos was recently one of the leads in the musical “Liwanag sa Dilim” and he was part of the 2025 series “How to Cheat Death.” /edv
