Matet de Leon shared another recollection of her memories with her late mom Nora Aunor, narrating how they spent their first day back together after the Superstar’s stay in the United States.
Matet looked back through her Facebook page on Monday, May 5, sharing a photo of her, her brother Kenneth and Aunor taken during the Superstar’s photo shoot.
It can be noted that Aunor had stayed in the US for years in the early 2000s and only returned to the Philippines in 2011.
Referring to the photo, Matet continued, “Eto kami ni Kenneth, excited sa atensyon, oras at yakap ni mommy. Hindi kami kasama sa photo shoot niya but she wanted a photo with the both of us.”
Matet then expressed her longing for Aunor while also thanking those who remember the late screen veteran and visited her wake.
“We miss her terribly [kagaya] ng karamihan sa inyo,” Matet said. We appreciate all of you.”
Concluding her post, Matet spoke on behalf of his four siblings, “Mula sa aming lima, thank you.”
Aunor died last April 16 at the age of 71 due to acute respiratory failure, and was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on April 22. /ra
