Ahtisa Manalo on dating: ‘They got to show me what they can offer’

Newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo is living up to her “queenly” title after she declared that “kings” who wish to have a shot at dating her should be able to show her the value they can add to her life.

Manalo made a guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, March 7, revealing that she is currently single and the people who have been linked to her in the past are now “old news.”

“I’m single,” she told Boy Abunda. “Wala na, luma na ‘yon (That’s no more, it’s old),” she continued after Abunda admitted that he assumed Manalo was in a relationship due to past stories.

In September last year, Manalo introduced her then-boyfriend, Marco Suarez, to the press at the Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024 media conference. The “boyfriend reveal” occurred two years after the beauty queen posted a picture of her beau on her Instagram page. 

However, now that the pageant veteran is back on the market, Manalo clarified that she is not someone who goes out to seek love.

“Nag-aantay ako (I wait). I don’t look for it,” she told Abunda who responded, “But what is a crown if you don’t have a king?” which she countered, “But what is a king without a queen with a crown?” 

The 27-year-old titleholder explained that her “future king” should be able to contribute to the good life she is living and building for herself now. 

“You better show me what’s up so I know if I’m gonna pick you or not. It’s an offer. They got to show me what they can offer. Because I’m living a good life myself. My family loves me. My friends love me. I can provide for myself and I can give myself a good life. So this person that’s gonna come into my life has to give me something more,” she said.

Manalo is set to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant set to be held in Thailand later this year. /edv
