Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Frankie pens letter to all mayors on behalf of dad Kiko

Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Frankie has made an emotional appeal to all the mayors in the country ahead of the May 12 elections, asking for their support in her father Kiko Pangilinan’s senatorial bid.
Frankie’s handwritten letter was shared by Cuneta on her Instagram page as the former painted her father not just as a politician but a humble, hands-on dad who doesn’t deserve the smear campaign made against him.
“Our family has stood by helplessly for several years now as the smear campaigns have persisted against him. The misrepresentations of his character are as heartbreaking as they are untrue—My father is a deeply humble, consistent man who keeps decades-old T-shirts and listens to disco music and makes it a point to attend all our sport meets, recitals, parent- teacher conferences,” she wrote.
Frankie noted that Pangilinan has been serving the Filipinos for over 20 years and “continues to demonstrate honesty and integrity” while “possessing the experience, qualifications and professional accomplishments” better than most candidates currently vying for senatorial seats.
Despite the achievements, Frankie claimed their family lacks the financial machinery to campaign for her father as loud as they can, that’s why she’s asking community leaders to lend a hand.

“We do not have a billion-peso budget to push for him as loudly as we ought to—as loudly as he deserves,” she stressed. “We understand that resources are tight, and we cannot offer much in return, but should we succeed, you now have a most assured promise that we will support your local programs and whatever else you may need in the years to come.”
Frankie further highlighted Pangilinan’s long-standing advocacy for food security and the protection of farmers that deserve to be prioritize in the future of the Filipinos.
“He has worked quietly and tirelessly for years in pursuit of our agricultural development. Our agricultural sector is the backbone of all our systems, our national economy, our entire lives […] Please help us carry this dream forward—for the future of our meal tables, for the dignity and protection of our farmers and fisherfolk and for all other Filipinos who still believe in true and compassionate leadership,” she added.
Six days before the elections, Pangilinan has earned the backing of several celebrities including Anne Curtis, Janine Gutierrez, Maja Salvador, and Jake Ejercito, among others.
