Miss Universe Philippines Charity Gala Chairperson Bran Reluao (center) shares the spotlight with Miss Universe queens and people behind the Miss Universe Organization.
At the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 charity gala held at Okada Manila, event chair Bran Ferrer Reluao urged the global pageant community to embrace a deeper purpose—one that goes beyond beauty and empowers causes that uplift lives and inspire transformation.
“Miss Universe Philippines has a proud legacy of creating real impact, sending elementary, high school, and college students to school,” Reluao said during his speech.
The Miss Universe Organization has named digital technology and inclusivity advocate Reluao as chairman of this year’s Miss Universe Charity Gala.
“This mission aligns deeply with my company RepublicAsia’s commitment to informing, inspiring, and uplifting communities,” he said.
The gala was graced by prominent figures, including reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig, Miss Universe Organization CEO Anne Jakrajutatip, and continental queens Chidimma Adetshina (Africa and Oceania), Tatiana Calmell (Americas), Matilda Wirtavuori (Europe and Middle East), and the Philippines’ Chelsea Manalo (Asia).
In his address, Reluao emphasized the importance of expanding the organization’s advocacy efforts.
“Tonight, we are gathered for a cause bigger than all of us,” Reluao said.
“Together, we will deepen our work in education, healthcare, environmental action, and women’s rights. And we will forge new bridges between the public and private sectors—uniting hearts, resources, and willpower for one purpose: nation-building,” he added.
RepublicAsia Founder and Miss Universe Philippines Charity Gala Chairperson Bran Reluao delivers a powerful message during the Gala Night.
Reluao, a Gen Z chief executive officer of Republic Asia and a tech advocate, is behind the “Pay IT Forward” initiative.
“Just two weeks ago, we delivered tablets and Starlink kits to public schools in remote areas in the province of Cebu. Next stop: Marawi. Because in this digital age, no child should be unreachable. No community should be disconnected,” he shared.
The gala’s proceeds will benefit organizations such as Caritas Manila, which supports education and social services for the underprivileged, and Hope for Change, a program aimed at funding scholarships for underprivileged students, as well as Stairway Foundation Inc.
The event will benefit Caritas Manila, which stands with the poor and overlooked, helping children finish school, rebuilding broken lives, and giving hope where there was none.
It will also benefit Stairway Foundation Inc., which protects the most vulnerable—children rescued from abuse and exploitation, sheltered and loved in Puerto Galera. Another beneficiary is My Children’s House of Hope, which provides care, dignity, and belonging for children with disabilities.
“These are not just names. These are lifelines. And tonight, we become part of their story—a better chapter, a brighter one,” he added.
“This event is more than a celebration of beauty; it’s a call to action for education, empowerment, and hope,” Reluao said. “Not just sashes, not just stage lights—but impact. Not just beauty for show—but beauty with soul.”
The Miss Universe Philippines 2025 coronation will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 2. The winner will represent the country in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.
