Gary Valenciano is not stopping from spreading joy to fans after recently capping off two-hour shows in Australia and New Zealand.
Four months after his “Pure Energy, One More Time” concert in the Philippines, Valenciano interacted with Filipino-Australians and New Zealanders in his recent concerts in Brisbane and Wellington in New Zealand, as well as the cities of Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney in Australia.
Among the songs he performed were “Di Bale Na Lang,” “Sana Maulit Muli,” “Shout For Joy,” “Take Me Out of the Dark,” “Huwag Mo Sanang Isipin,” and his interpretation of Chuck Corea’s “Spain,” to name a few.
According to a release, a stage four cancer patient embarked on a nine-hour trip from Adelaide to Melbourne to have a chance to see Valenciano perform. One couple who watched the singer’s December 2024 concert traveled to Wellington to see him onstage.
The set of shows came months after Valenciano’s “Pure Energy, One More Time” at the Araneta Coliseum in December 2024, where the singer pushed through the show despite the ongoing health risks.
He also declared that he is ready to accept his “God-given vision” after giving his all on the concert stage for the “past 40 years.”
“Doing these things hasn’t been easy. What more in this season of my 60th year of life? Nakakapagod din (It’s tiring),” he said. “But there is a calling, leading that is energizing me to move into the spirit of uplifting, encouraging, and inspiring, now more than ever before.”
“As long as this heart beats, that’s what I’ll be doing. I’ve given you my all tonight as I consistently tried to do so, in every performance I’ve given in the past 40 years,” he continued.
Valenciano recently collaborated with RJ Dela Fuente in the new single “Blessings,” released to honor Holy Week.
