Drag queen Jiggly Caliente loses ‘most of right leg’ due to severe infection

Drag queen Jiggly Caliente has been recovering after she suffered from a severe infection that caused the amputation of “most of her right leg.”
The family of Jiggly, whose real name is Bianca Castro, disclosed this through a statement released on her Instagram page on Thursday, April 24.
“…Over the last month, Bianca has experienced a serious health setback. Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg,” the statement reads.
Her family further noted that Jiggly, a resident judge of “Drag Race Philippines,” will unfortunately have to skip the show’s upcoming season due to her condition.
They added that she will also not participate in any public engagements for the foreseeable future.
“Her recovery will be extensive,” the statement continues. “At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together.”
“While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite her friends, fans, and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels,” it said. “Bianca’s family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers.”
Several celebrities flocked to the comments section to extend their well-wishes and messages of comfort for Jiggly, among them fellow drag performers Marina Summers, Eva Le Queen and Manila Luzon; beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and R’Bonney Nola; and actors Nadine Lustre and KaladKaren.

Prior to becoming a “Drag Race Philippines” judge, Jiggly competed in the fourth season of the international reality drag competition “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and in the sixth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.”
