Stevie Nicks, the iconic voice behind the best-selling rock band Fleetwood Mac, is gearing up for the release of her new solo album after over a decade-long hiatus.
Nicks, who hasn’t released a solo album since her “In Your Dreams” LP in 2011, shared that she is recording some new songs that reflect her personal experiences.
“I call it the ghost record. It just really kinda happened in the last couple of weeks because of, you know, the fires,” she told the crowd at the Pollstar Awards on Wednesday night, April 16.

“I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life,” continued the veteran singer.
The 76-year-old musician, who was one of the celebrities who had to evacuate her Los Angeles home during the recent wildfires, noted that the tracks will highlight the “fantastic men” in her life.
“They’re not airy-fairy songs that you’re wondering who they’re about, but you really don’t get it. They are real stories, memories of mine, of fantastic men,” she said.

Nicks added that the record sheds light on her past relationship with the late singer Prince, whom she dated in the 1980s.
Ahead of her new album, Nicks confirmed last year that Fleetwood Mac has no chance to reunite as the band cannot perform again without Christine McVie, who died in 2022.
“Without Christine, no can do,” Nicks told Mojo for the British music magazine’s cover story. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”
Nicks noted that the band’s surviving members — drummer Mick Fleetwood, bassist John McVie, and former singer and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham — are still deeply affected by the loss of McVie.
Fleetwood Mac is known for their hits “Everywhere,” “Dreams,” and “Landslide,” among others.
