Nadine Lustre defends BF after netizen’s ‘no spark’ remark

Nadine Lustre urged netizens to stop judging people based on brief clips on social media, in response to a fan remark about the supposed loss of spark in the actress’ relationship with Filipino-French entrepreneur Christophe Bariou.
The actress showed a video of herself being one with nature through her TikTok page last Saturday, April 12.

The clip did not feature Bariou, and a fan account gave her two cents on his and Lustre’s relationship.
“Nadz, after that vid clip with your boyfie– I can’t feel the spark anymore,” the netizen wrote, although it was not immediately known what video she was referring to.
“Please settle for someone better than him. Someone who wants to give his last name to you,” the TikTok user added.
Lustre did not let this go unnoticed as she replied, “I think you should stop judging people based on a short clip.”

Several netizens then chimed in on the exchange, with most of them coming to the defense of the couple.
“[Because] she’s aging like the rest of us, and with age, you come to realize a lot,” one netizen said of Lustre. “Not everyone wants a spark and a thrill. Some of us only want peace and comfort.”

Lustre and Bariou’s relationship was confirmed to the public in January 2022. The pair has since delved into several businesses together, including a vegan restaurant and a plant-based milk brand.
