Kathryn Bernardo has been snapped in a picture with Karla Estrada, the mother of the former’s ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla, at the recent ABS-CBN Ball.
In the photo carousel posted by actress Ruffa Gutierrez on Instagram, she could be seen standing side by side with Bernardo, Estrada and Vina Morales in one picture.
Gutierrez’ comments section exploded with well-wishes from fans who celebrated seeing the two women in one frame despite Bernardo’s controversial break up with Padilla in November 2023.
“Buti pa si Queen mother at Kath my picture (It’s good that Queen mother and Kath have a picture). Kami naghihintay ng picture ng Kathniel (Us waiting for KathNiel’s photo),” one fan wrote.
“Kahit break na ang Kathniel parang nakakatuwa lang na makitang magkasama in one frame si Kath at Karla (Even though KathNiel have split up, it’s good to see Kath and Karla in one frame),” pitched in another fan.

In early January, Estrada admitted in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that she was greatly affected by the hurtful comments that her son received after his breakup with Bernardo.
‘“Yung salita ng tao na halos hindi mo na makain at sobrang kabastusan kung anuman ang—medyo ‘yon ang hindi ko na kinakaya. Hindi ko kinakaya na parang ikamamatay ko ha. Hindi ko na halos kayanin na kailangan ko nang hanapin ‘yung mga taong gano’n magsalita at isa-isahing sagutin,” she said at the time.
(The words of a person that you can barely swallow and are so rude that whatever—that’s something I can’t handle anymore. I can’t handle it like I’m going to die. I can’t handle it anymore. I have to find the people who talk like that and answer them one by one.)
The celebrity mom explained that she did not want to interfere with her son’s relationship problems, believing that the couple should handle them on their own.
Bernardo and Padilla were in an 11-year relationship before calling it quits in November 2023, allegedly due to an alleged third party.
